Every Toronto neighbourhood has it’s spot.  The place where the locals gather, relax on days off, bring their families, their dogs, set up bbqs, and in general, just have a good time outside (even more now with the park drinking permitted haha).  If your in West Toronto and in the Corso Italia, Earlscourt Park is that spot.

What makes Earlscourt Park so special and one of my favourite places in Toronto is that it really captures what this vibrant neighbourhood is all about.  Corso Italia is historically an Italian and Portuguese neighbourhood but over the years it has become much more diverse with young families relocating and a strong South and Central American latin influx.  This melting pot of different cultures is a paradigm of what makes Toronto so great and to see it on a sunny Saturday afternoon is a truly beautiful thing.  I personally love to take my dog (and head of client relations) Cali whenever I get the chance.  She loves to wrestle other pups in the off leash area and when she’s all tuckered out, we usually hang out on the bleachers and either watch a local youth soccer game, or just chill and watch what everyone else is doing.   And with Earlscourt, you will never get bored people watching because there is always something happening!

Whether it’s fitness junkies working out in the outdoor gym, Cirque de Soleil proteges practicing slack lining between trees, people tanning on the grass after a swim in the outdoor pool (they have an indoor one too!), or families having their kids 1st birthday party by the playground and splash pad the park is a beacon for the community, so much so that the annual Brazil Fest has been held here for the past 5 years.  There is so much to see and do and that’s not even including the Winter!

If your ever in the neighbourhood make sure to grab a coffee, go for a walk and check out Earlscourt Park.  It’s a great park and gives you a real sense of the what the community is all about and the people that make it so great!

Park amenities include:
  • Skating Rink: In the winter, Earlscourt Park has an outdoor skating rink, which provides a delightful opportunity for ice skating and enjoying the seasonal charm. The rink is typically open during the colder months, weather permitting.
  • Sports Fields: Earlscourt Park is known for its sports facilities. It includes multiple soccer fields and baseball diamonds, making it a popular destination for local sports teams and enthusiasts. These fields are frequently used for recreational and organized sports events.
  • Playground: The park features a children's playground with various play structures and equipment. It's a great place for families to bring young children for some outdoor fun and recreation.
  • Recreation Center: Earlscourt Park has a community recreation center that offers programs and activities for people of all ages. These programs can include fitness classes, workshops, and community events.
  • Picnic Areas: The park offers picnic areas with tables and benches, providing a pleasant setting for picnics, family gatherings, or simply relaxing in a natural environment.
  • Walking and Jogging: There are paved paths and trails within the park that are ideal for walking, jogging, or cycling. The park's open green spaces also offer ample room for outdoor activities and relaxation.
  • Community Events: Throughout the year, Earlscourt Park hosts various community events and festivals, providing opportunities for residents to come together and celebrate. These events can include cultural festivals, food fairs, and more.
  • Green Space: The park features open green areas and trees, creating a peaceful and scenic backdrop for visitors to connect with nature.
